The company has been appointed as a UK Department of Trade & Industry Notified Body for the European EMC Directive, Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Safety Directive and Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) Directive. We are Affiliate members of SEMI and are qualified in carrying out independent third party assessments to the requirements of SEMI Standard S7. Technology International (Europe) Ltd was founded in 1987 and is the parent company of the Technology International Group. The company initially specialised in providing EMC consultancy and training services to the defence industry, and in 1992 was appointed a Competent Body for the European EMC Directive by the UK Department of Trade & Industry. With the growth of the business in the mid nineties Technology International expanded its scope of services and was appointed as a Notified Body for the Low Voltage, Machinery Safety and the R&TTE Directives. In addition to EMC Certification services the company now provided support to clients wishing to achieve compliance to these directives. In 2000 they increased their scope of activities further to provide assessments to the SEMI Standards. These Standards were introduced by the SEMI Organisation to standardise quality requirements within the semiconductor industry.
In addition to product and systems approvals Technology International (Europe) Ltd also provides support to large-scale infrastructure projects, providing them with on-going EMC and safety management services. Since 1987 the company has provided support to a number of high profile projects and customers including the Channel Tunnel, London Underground, NATO and Westinghouse Nuclear Automation.
